Lynn had done most of the research on cities and countries to visit in Eastern Europe, so before we made it to Kotor I had only seen a few pictures on Google. I liked what I had seen as far as photos, but seeing it in person was quite different. The Old Town of Kotor is quite charming (as Lynn mentioned) with its narrow cobblestone streets and historic buildings. Walking through the main gates of the Old Town is kind of like walking back in time. We had a great time just walking around the streets snapping photos and trying not to get lost in the maze of buildings.
The highlight of our time in Kotor had to be our hike up to the fortress on the hillside. It just so happened that we had a beautifully clear day which was perfect for taking pictures of the city and bay. As we climbed the stairs of the fortress the views got better and we continued to stop and take pictures every chance we got.
