Our two days in Kosice, Slovakia was pretty relaxing and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by a lot of the architecture and the charm of the city. The St. Elisabeth Cathedral is a beautiful centerpiece to the main square and surrounding it are streets lined with shops, restaurants and pubs. There’s even a little pizza shop that sells pizza by the slice for about 50 cents each, and if you know anything about Lynn and I, we like a good deal!

We spent the majority of our time in Kosice walking around and checking out the sights within walking distance of the main square. I enjoyed the view from the top of the St. Elisabeth Cathedral, and even the climb up the narrow stairs was fun. One of Lynn’s favorite buildings was the Jakabov Palace, which we first saw on our walk from the train station to our apartment. Overall, there were quite a few small things to walk around and see in the area, but not a ton of interesting things to do. We read that there were some interesting activities just outside of Kosice, but it was best to do some of those things in the summer.
