We decided to put the time that we spent in Ica and Nazca together since the two cities are fairly close to each other. We spent the majority of our time in Ica, and only spent half a day in Nazca in order to do a flight to see the Nazca Lines. In Ica we booked a 3 part tour through our hostel owner. With the tour we were able to go on a dune buggy ride through the sand dunes in Huacachina, take a boat tour to the Ballestas Islands off the coast of Peru, and do a couple wine tastings at some local wineries in Ica. It was the most activities we’ve had in a 3 days span in quite some time, but it was good to keep busy.
