Our second stop in Egypt brought us south to Aswan, which also included a half day trip to see the temples in Abu Simbel. Things seemed more relaxed in Aswan and not as crazy as they were in Luxor, which was a relief to us. I think a big factor in why we enjoyed it so much had to do with our stay at the Nubian Holiday House on the west bank of the Nile. From there we had a peaceful place to relax, but it was still a quick ferry ride into the center of town.
